It’s always nice when a story shows up in your own neighborhood. As I was heading out to pick up some lunch in my West Pasco neighborhood, I noticed Franklin PUD Field Engineer Linda DeArmond making sure that builders had installed the meter correctly on a new construction build.
“I am inspecting the meter on this new construction so it can be approved, so the line department can pull the wire,” said DeArmond.
DeArmond says inspections usually go pretty smoothly but sometimes a builder will have to make an adjustment.
“Inspections are quick as long as everything is okay. But we have to make special notes on it to remove the temporary and install the new service.
On this West Pasco new home Linda noticed the meter had been placed a little higher than usual.
“I might have to turn it down because it might be a bit too tall. I need to go get my tape measure out. I am 5 foot 5 so I have to be sure our crews can easily reach the meter,” said DeArmond.
