Franklin PUD is expanding their social media reach with the launch of their new Facebook, Instagram and YouTube pages. The pages were approved during the May commissioners meeting in a 3-0 vote. The new platforms will accompany the Franklin PUD Twitter page that has more than 700 followers. Public Affairs Manager Mike Gonzalez says it’s a great opportunity to educate customers on Franklin PUD’s resources. “The social media sites give us a whole new reach into our customer base. We have the opportunity to educate our customers on all of the district’s resources. It’s also a great way to keep up on power outages. We plan to be very active on the sites,” said Gonzalez.
The Franklin PUD Public Affairs department has also launched a new blog site called the ‘Power Line’. The blog has links to money saving tips, electrical safety stories and feel good topics from around Franklin County. You can access Power Line at blog.franklinpud.com.
